Sharps 1859 - 1863 Ladder Rear Sight, Nice, NR :$140. Part Description: Original Sharps Carbine 1863 Ladder Rear Sight. The sightitself is in nice original shape and overall is a blued/brown patina. Some light pitting present. The 1 to 7 elevation markings are present. The slider and top screw is missing. The ladder holds in the up position and the sight can be used laying down with the V notch. The top of the rear sight is .265" above the barrel , which means the entire front post must be above it in order to even be close at 100 yards ! Yet the ladder sight is pretty close at 200 and 300 yards .
